Lisa Bastien maintains a piano studio in New York City where her home serves as a place where students of diverse ages, abilities and interests experience the joy of learning music.

Lisa comes from a family of composers and writers. Her mom and dad, Jane and James Bastien and her sister, Lori are well known for their piano teaching series and pieces. Lisa has co-authored over 100 piano books with her family.

Lisa received her Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from Drake U., and her Master's degree in Piano pedagogy from Arizona State U.  She travels to present at workshops and conventions worldwide. But it is her passion for excellence as a teacher and her dedication to her students that define her.  We are excited to visit with Lisa and discover what is new in the Bastien publications.
