Time to get ready for the 2026-2027 MTNA National Competitions
NDMTA supports the MTNA Performance and Composition Competitions. These competitions comply with MTNA requirements and state winners may advance to division and national competitions. MTNA active membership dues must be paid before submission of registration form.

August 1st, 2026
Deadline:
September 9th, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time
Winners/Representatives will advance to the West Central Division Online-Only Video Competitions

Elementary
- Composition Only
- Age 5-10
Junior
- Performance Competitions: Piano String, Woodwind and Composition
- Age 11-14
Senior
- Performance Competitions: Piano, Brass, String, Woodwind, Voice, Piano Duet, and Composition (Age 15-18)
- Piano Duet (Age 11-18 with at least one student age 15-18)
Young Artist
- Performance Competitions: Composition, Piano, Brass, String, Woodwind and Voice
- Age 19-26
Chamber Music
- Competitions: String and Wind
- 3-6 performers
- Age 18-29

The winners/representatives advance to a video-only Division Competition. Division winners compete in the National Finals at the annual MTNA National Conference.
