2026 Foundation Fellow Nominee

Michelle Kallod

Michlle Kallod has been teaching piano lessons to students ages four through adult for the past 28 years. For the last several years, her studio has hovered in the 50-75 student range. An avid learner, she continues to enhance her teaching by attending MTNA, the National Conference on Keyboard Pedagogy, and NDMTA conferences and webinars. She earned a minor in Music and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology - a degree which she uses every day.

Michelle has been a leader in the organizations she belongs to currently serving as Treasurer and Newsletter Editor for the NDMTA and in the past as secretary. She also co-chairs the local Festival for the Federation of Music Clubs.

Michelle also has served in her community by accompanying groups (since the age of 12) and is currently the accompanist for the Fargo-Moorhead Master Chorale.  She has accompanied collegiate students at NDSU, for the National Choir Directors Association, North Dakota All State Choirs, several area high schools, pit orchestras and churches.

When she is not teaching or accompanying, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, catering, backpacking, kayaking and gardening.

With the contribution of $1500 in her name to the MTNA Foundation, Michelle will be honored at the MTNA Conference in 2026 as a Foundation Fellow.  You may give online via the MTNA website (be sure to request your donation to go to Michelle as a Foundation Fellow nominee), or you can mail a check to the MTNA, with Michlle Kallod in the memo section of your check.
